First blade polishing attempt

Somehow I screwed up the stone wash finish on my TRM Atom, so I decided to go for a polished surface. I used a series of sic sandpaper grits up to 5000, then used some loaded belts on my Ken Onion grinder attachment. Result is ... just okay. Doesn't look as good in person as the pic below. I think you really need a bench grinder to get superior result, and I don't have a bench grinder.

Thanks. On the first side I started at 120, which was really too low. Second side I started at 300. Progression was roughly doubling the grit each step. Maybe closer to 75%. Had to back up a few time because you don’t know you didn’t get out the courser scratches until you go finer.
