Well I've now made it to my first Blade Show. My first thought to remember for next year is to show way earlier then 12:10 to get in. My second thought is man it is a mad house at the Busse table now I know what you guys are always talking about holy smokes I loved it. Third thought I had was that after going to Blade Show I finally realized that I am not the only knife nut out there. And lastly I think that I may have made a mistake with my son. He and I were at one of the offerings a knife that I really had no interest in came up the cards got tossed out and as one of the cards came our way, we were in the very back right next to the fence, the crowd split open and one of the cards fell right at my son's feet. He picked it up so fast and was so excited. I let him hold onto it for a little while then told him that we didn't want that one. A guy standing next to us heard me tell him that and said he would take it if we didn't want it so I made my son give him the card. My son is so disappointed I should have just got it for him it really wasn't an expensive one. Any ways can't wait till next year.

First Blade Show thoughts and Impressions

This was my first Blade as well and it was a blast, so much to see, I only went Saturday, will definitely plan for more then one day next year.
Was over at the Busse booth at 2:00 watching the excitement but standing back behind the yellow chains, out of the action, just observing, they sure know how to make knife buying fun (like it isn't fun enough already). Well they held up a fat ash and I said to the wife, "I like to have that knife" and wouldn't you know it, the third card thrown sailed right over the crowd past the yellow chains and into my hand. Wow, it was like it was meant to be, so I took home a fat ash!
Blade will be marked on my yearly calendar from now on.
