Hi all.My first post here, allthough ive been lurking on different knifeforums for a while gathering information about different movie knives.

I need advice from you guys about the famous First Blood knife and which one to get?Ive had my eyes on versions from Vaughn Neeley,Andy Wood and Ray Matton.
Price is not an issue,i just want a movie accurate knife that is close to the first 13 knives Jimmy Lile designed.Ive heard good things about how accurate Andy Wood's knife is,but i haven't seen any of the 3 in hand so i have trouble deciding which one to get.Judging by pics,Wood's and Neeley's knives are front runners of the 3.

Any advice would be appreciated guys.Always wanted an original Lile, but even #14-100 with 12 teeth are hard to find these days.

Thanks for your time :)

I never heard of Andy Wood, and his website doesn't show lead times or prices, which is never a good thing AFAIC.

Vaughn Neely has been in the game for a long time. You fail to mention in your post that Jimmy Lile Knives website has Vaughn making the current designs.

There are some of the Lile knives around on the internet....they are expensive, but if you really want Jimmy Lile, you can get it. There is a Rambo:Mission knife by Lile on a well known e-tailer's site right now.

Gil Hibben is the only currently living maker that was involved with the Rambo movies, have you considered him? He makes a great knife as well.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Was going to suggest to have a chat on a UK knife forum, but just noticed you got it sorted already.
