and it won't be my last. I won a redbone, one-armed razor jack on ebay the other day and it arrived yesterday. I'm really impressed with this knife, the fit and finish is great, the redbone scales are a rich burgundy color, carbon steel blades, and halfstops on both blades. I have always wanted a one-armed pattern, wanted to see how well the concept worked. With a little practice, it works quite well, just have to make sure that the notch is in the corner of your jeans pocket for positive opening. My understanding is that this pattern came into being after the Civil War when there were so many vets around that had lost a arm in battle. Can anyone confirm that?
Anyway, the knife is a gem and I am thinking of getting another with black composition scales for everyday use. If any of you Boker fans don't have one of these yet, you should get looking, I think its one of the coolest patterns around and the quality is top shelf.

Glad you like it!
I carry a 2 blade version, and would recommend catching it on your belt instead of pocket.I learned the hardway
We have some in stag, and a few others in stock now.
Thanks,TJT

TJT, could you send a link. I looked, probably in all the wrong places, and I ain't find'en.

I can't find them either, might be because they are a limited edition thing.
The model 85 is the regular one.The rest are variations off of that.
I'll find out more tomorrow.

Just a quick update. I picked up another of these with imitation tortiseshell scales for a everyday user as I said I would. The only difference, besides the scales, was the main blade wasn't ground as nice as on the redbone. Not that big a deal, I expect to have to sharpen factory slipjoints as a matter of course. Other than that , its just as nice as the first one. Congrats to Boker for making such a cool little knife thats affordable enough to buy a couple of. I do have a question about the imi-tortiseshell scales, are they a derlin-like material or are they celluloid? Want to know because if its celluloid I'll want to be on the lookout for shrinkage and such. Anybody know?

They are celluloid, but seems to be mixed better than what it used to
be.
I think it lasts longer.
Glad you like it.
