Hey everyone, This was the first Bowie Knife I have ever made. I think it came out pretty nice looking. I actually have no idea if this is a bowie or a fighter... I'm a City guy. I've never even seen a bowie knife in person before, everything is illegal in NYC haha.
I like a slight recurve in the blade where the spine doesn't swoop back up. I think it looks nicer and more elegant to be straight.
originally the brass was blackened but it kept scraping off randomly so I just sanded it all off.

These pictures were taken without any buffing of the handle so it should be super shiny when I do that.

I wanted to get pictures taken of it by Sharpbycoop but he's too expensive for me haha.

I'll probably post this in exchange soon in case anyone is interested.

The blade is 10 inches long
17 inches overall length
brass guard and ferrule
Stabilized California Buckey Burl handle
W2 steel

I have had Bowie's in person .. this one is sweet... and my size in blade length..

is the clip sharpened? what does it weigh?

Thanks a lot. its 13 oz. The clip was ground to 0 and was sharp but after hand sanding and hamon polishing, its no longer sharp. It could easily be resharpened though.

Thanks guys. Ya so far this 4th attempt at a hamon was my best one. I'm still working on how to get it every exact spot I put clay.

Great looking knife!

And as far as a professional photo by Coop, if you are selling your knives, the price is right for the exposure you will receive.

Thanks Steve. I only want the pictures for the exposure and to get my name out there. I'm not knocking his price at all. I'm just waiting until I make some truly beautiful knives before I start paying for professional photos. :)

Haha thanks, well I'm still learning. Its a hidden tang with epoxy and just under a 3/16 brass pin. I honestly cant find it in any of the pictures except the last one. It blends in with the handle so well.
