ITE, Wow,a 3 dot! Nice find.DM

Thanks David M, I always wanted one like this after I saw one that some ex-employee had and he didn't want to sell it... I know of 2 of them now... But I'm sure there are more out there... Well Just a few more Bucklites to go, I hope... ...

Yeah, I was wondering about the blade, from the picture it looks like an unfinished satin.

jb, thanks for the pic on the other-Is that white micarta? I would have gladdly payed well over $30 for it.

Theyre both great finds.

Hi Fritz,

I did not buy it. I saw the auction and was just wondering about the shape and color of the handle. I've never seen one like it before. ITE is a Bucklite collector...so I thought he may know something about it.

Oh, I re-read ITE's post...it's a proto of the bucklite, made before they had any 422 stamped blades i guess.

422...The blade is a 112?

Have you seen one like this. I don't recall ever seeing this color or shape before.

JB, I was going bid on it, but I for got all about it... :( ... I have never seen one like it before... The handle and color was different for sure... It looks like white or tan Micarta of some kind, to me... I wish I had some better pics of it... The pic on the bay sucked... I wish I new who bought it, for I could ask more questions about it....

Jb, you guess right... They didn't have any 422 blades yet.... Thanks, I should have said that.... :D

When you can find a proto for a model you collect it's a happy day!!! I have yet to see/find/hear about ANY proto for a 112....THERE MUST BE ONE! Nice score Armand, bet it was real reasonabley priced too!

I didnt figger you had bought it jb but sure wish you had cause you'd have
good pics. It almost looks like it has a circular wood grain pattern like a Alpha rosie would. But a bucklite wouldnt have wood. My 506 a slight wood grain effect but not like I think I see in this pic.

I think old white Micarta as that wood grain look... Can't really tell by the pic... It could be just a tan plastic Bucklite just cut down.. I have a white and tan Bucklite, I can ask Leroy to make one if that all it is... What ever it is, it's a cool looking BL.

Well after looking at my 422 it can't be modify... So it has to be some kind of Micarta or plastic... I think... ...

That proto Bucklite looks like micarta to me.But the later ones (1985) were made of Valox.DM
