So I'm now the proud owner of a Scrapyard 311 from Blade 2014. I happened to walk by on saturday as tickets were being thrown out and literally stepped onto one. Snagged a burnt bronze 311 with the tribal design and now I'm torn. First, that thing feels great in the hand and seems like a real workhorse of a knife..... but I don't want to mess up a limited edition knife putting it to work. So what do you guys think? Put it to work or find another and let that one go to a collector? Been a lurker for a long time since I saw the TTKS (I think, whatever the kuhkri is), and always heard amazing stories about tough knives, but never.. bit the bullet until it landed in my lap. I know one thing... if the rest of the busse family feels as good as this thing and perform like they're advertised, I'm gonna be down in that mosh pit next year with the rest of you.
 
I think use and love the knife. Did you get it free? (sorry i dont know how the tickets work)
 
No, you have to get a ticket in order to buy the knife at show price. Apparently the ones for the gladius are quite sought after.

I've used Limited Editions #13 before (the number they use in their adds and photo's).


Welcome to the family. The Scrapyards give the absolute best bang for the buck!
 
If you like the knife and you think you'll use it then go for it. You could always etch the SYKCO logo and Garths tattoo in case the coating ever gets worn off in that area, which I don't think it will.

Or if you want to keep it for a collector you could always order another 311 from the site and use it.
 
Congrats on the score. I say use it. Thats what they are made for but that is just me. I use everything I buy. LOL
 
^^^ I agree, use it :) I have the 411 with a kydex sheath it's definitely a favorite of mine. Congrats on the score !!
