What is your first recall of realizing there was Busse Combat Knife Company?

For me it was seeing them set up at gun shows here in central Ohio quite a while ago.

More distinctly was them being set up at an firearms industry trade show here in Columbus at the Convention Center.

Oh to have been as wise then as I think I am now... I didn't think ANY knife was worth more than $25 or $30.

Mine was when I saw an ad in SOF magazine. The one in
the coffin. I wanted a Badger Attack almost instantly!!:D

I didn't learn about them until after I joined the Forums. I started to hear about all this great performance, and how incredible INFI was. I just had to check it out. I didn't know a thing out the product line, so I came over here and started asking questions. Luckily, someone helped me out.

I later picked up the Basic 9 that Turber did the cutting tests with (bought it for $135) and like an idiot later traded or sold it. :( But only to afford my first BM and Badger :D:D

It was all smooth sailing after that. ;):D

There was an ad in one of the Gun Magazines, must have been in late '80's or thereabouts, showing an original Steel Heart, point end to foreground, and the caption "You'll never have a broken heart" or something similar. Ad really played up the guarantee. I resolved then and there to have one, but a 10 year old son and newly adopted daughter had first call on my resources at that time. I later got an original Steel Heart II and a SH Badger Attack, but I still regret not getting that Steel Heart.

I remember a forumite talking of the majesty of the Battle Mistress. I popped on over to Cliff Stamp's site, did some reading, went to the Busse website, did some reading, went to the Busse forum, did some more reading, and realized that I had been totally addicted from the start :D .
