I am a novice knife collector and after reading up on the superior quality of Busse knives, decided to buy one, a C.A.B.S, which I recently received. This may be my first and last Busse purchase! Now that I have your attention, I only say that because Busse knives are expensive & I wouldn't be able to buy many. But, they are worth every penny. This knife is gorgeous! Thanks to Jerry, the lovely Lexi, who I talked to on the phone, and the entire Busse staff, true artisans!

Don't worry, you will always find a way to get more money to buy more. I thought that at first too =)
Congrats on your score!

I would really recommend you check out Swamp Rat. There is a knife available from them right now called the RMD, or RatManDu. It really is a great knife, and at about $140 it is, for what you get, pretty reasonable. Plus, it's a Bussekin!

That being said, depending on my Christmas bonus I might be trying for an LCABS. or 4..

Welcome. You got a good one for your first Busse!
Your first mistake was educating yourself on these blades and allowing yourself to get into the addiction, the second was thinking that you will be able to resist the next new model....been there, thought that! Sometimes you think you just may have found the perfect one and need look no further. Of course Jerry somehow makes you think again. It's magic I tell ya.

Welcome and Congrats! Thats what I said after owning only one Busse! You will find the money to purchase more don't worry! Here's the Formula- Eat less + Drink more= Buy more Busse's :D:thumbup::thumbup:

HaHaHaHaHa...Welcome to the club sucka!!! All kidding aside; nice score. Surely you will figure out how to score more.

You bought a great first Busse.

Sharp, thin and satin! No rough edges on the handles (which is not a problem on most , but some).

Excellent edge.

Now, you need to learn how to sharpen a zero convex edge so you can keep it sharp and slicey!

Thank you, fellas. Cadman 2008: I did try Swamprat, bought a Waki, HRLM & am awaiting a RatManDu (hopefully, if they still have any). And, I ordered a Scrapivore LE from Scrapyard. Wanted to get something(s) from all 3. Really shot my wead for now. But, I'm happy!
