first busse / SFNO-EU17

I LOVE my SFNO! But the EU-17 does look like a stellar choice as well. You will be happy with either and will eventually want both :D.

I know I want an EU-17 to go with my yet to be delivered Mini EU-17 :D

I've got a Magnum EU-17 and an SFNO with standard thickness grips. I wouldn't part with either knife, but the handle on the EU-17 is my favorite by far.

I'm yet to put the Magnum EU-17 in anyone's hands who doesn't find it comfortable.

Just one thing.....
I wouldn't get my hopes up too much of getting an EU-17.
There aren't too many for sale, they are very rare, and very, very much in demand.

Thanks for all the comments. It looks like I'll probably have to wait until the next round for an SFNO and I'm SOL for the Eu-17, but I'll look around.

It looks like the tactical rat grip is similar, with the palm swell, but has more of a defined finger groove.
You MIGHT be able to get your hands on a mini, after all, they haven't been shipped yet, and I'm sure at least a couple will get sold, and you never know. If Peter La can get one, then it CAN'T be that hard after all. :p
(or maybe he just got really lucky)

Let me add the Standard Terror Monkey to your wish list. to me, the handle is perfect, better than either the EU-17 or the SFNO. Your only hope of picking up one of these, like the EU-17, is to watch the resale market.

that does look like a great one. thanks for the suggestion.
Be careful about getting an E handle. There's nothing wrong with them, but they're not everyone's first choice as far as ergonomics go. If you want one for a user, I personally would recommend a fusion Steel Heart. I understand this is a very comfortable handle, but I really can't say first hand, since it hasn't arrived to me yet.

Going by memory here, but I think that my Terror Monkey handle was more like a slimmed down E-handle than the one pictured. I do know that there were different handles on some of the TM's.

I have the SFNO with the magnum handles and just love it.

One things for sure, you know you’ve got a hand full of knife. ;):D
Ian.

The EU-17 handle and Ratweiler handle may look similar in photos, but they feel quite different in hand. The Ratweiler handle is very good, but the EU-17 handle offers significantly more grip security and comfort.

Once Dwayne sends me my Swamp Rat Desert Jack and sheath I'll be able to give you a comparison with that handle as well.

maybe the different sized TOs have different handle shapes?
TRUE!!!! Some TMs had regular E handles, other had variant handles.
(I forgot about that)

Walking Man, I have the magnum and I am looking for a regular. Yes, I did get lucky.

I have to agree..

I have some EU-17'S and a SF Natural Outlaw with magnum handles,, and i really like the feel of the handles on the EU's over the magnum handles on the NO. those EU handles are very comfortable to the hand

I've held the standard handle NO's also,,,and still have to go with the EU handle

but best to hold both and see which fits your hand the best

:D
