First Busse ?? SUS SCROFA ??

Guys, I have been looking back at past threads and have not yet found one discussing anyone's thoughts on the Mini Sus Scrofa.

I have yet to make the leap, buying my first Busse, but am debating ordering a Mini Sus Scrofa (Double Cut Finish with Green Linen Micarta Scales) or the Limited Edition Mini Sus Scrofa. The knife looks like a great utility knife to use around the home or abroad.

Any reviews or feedback on this one? I read some posts that are leading me to believe the Sus Scrofa may not be up on the Busse Knife Company website for to much longer! Thanks for the help.
 
well i just orderded one yes its my first busse same dellema but i said what the heck.mine urban grey,saw teeth,black g-10 cant wait to get it

You are close to inspiring me!

The reason I have not ordered a Busse yet is because I have been waiting to hit a knife show to see what type of handle I would prefer before dishing out the cash. On this one, you do not have to choose (standard, mag, etc..)
 
There are no reviews becuase it isnt out yet. Better make your mind up about it though. It will probably be pulled soon.
 
This model could be pulled as soon as Monday. :eek:

The way it typically works at Busse Combat... they release a new model and don't start production until around the time the will pull that model off the site. If you order now... it will be a couple of months or what's referred to as "two weeks" :D before they ship.

FWIW... I have 3 DC / green linen on order. :thumbup: :D

no one has been charged yet, as far as i know. normally, a knife will be removed from the site, production will begin, and charges will then be made.

expect at least a couple months before they begin to ship.

and if you order an le, it will likely be longer. the batacle's have not shipped yet, and they were on the site before the scrofa.
 
I remember being in this boat a couple of months ago with the BATAC. My suggestion would be to just go for it because in the unlikely event you decide it's not for you, it won't be hard to get your money out of it. You can probably even make a profit or trade for something else to try. Busse's hold there value or even appreciate that well!!

That's been the nudge I needed on a few. Just be aware of the addictive nature of INFI. It's no joke. :D

Time to wait and see what INFI is all about!
 
I printed my invoice but noted on the print out (after I closed the window) it read at the top...

The the next line was Invoice, and then after that the "Thank you for your order" stuff.

Does this mean the confirmation email to myself or an email to Busse? My email address was entered correctly.
 
If you have an invoice number... I'm sure your order went thru... but I would call the shop on Monday and verify.

I'm afraid to inform you that your will NOT be able to wait... before you know it... you will have searched the for sale section and your second piece ordered will become your first piece of INFI... you watch... it will happen. ;)

:( Fat wallet! :( It may be awhile before I can have that again. When I had my first son, a buddy of mine congratulated me on buying my Lamborghini (now I have two - kids that is!)
 
I agree with everything you've heard here.

As to the SS, no, they aren't out (to the civi population, at least) but I think your analysis is spot on. I love a good hawk bill and this looks to be a great one. Can't wait for mine (same config, btw - it seems to be the most popular choice).

I can see why, the below picture on the website is what put me down this path (withouth the serrations of course).

Exactly what happened to me. Ordered 2 CG BATACs and one LE in February, but my first INFI was from here. A Hell Razor, quickly followed up by a OJ Warden and CG FBM. I think my first Busse I ordered wound up being my 10th or 12th piece of INFI that I actually got in hand...
 
I haven't even been charged for my BATAC LE, so I figure the SS LE and the SS DC I ordered will be a ways out.

I agree, however, that the window for ordering is coming to a close soon. Jerry will be putting up the Scotch Dispenser and the Anorexic Assault Shaker in the not-too-distant future. Once the Shop orders are cut off, you will likely have an opportunity to get them at the Company Store near the end of this year.
