First Busse

I am new to Busse Knives and picked up my first Busse, a BATAC LE. It came with a Mashed Cat kydex sheath. It does have scratches from the sheath but is pretty sharp and looks to have the original edge. All is good with that since I am going to use as a camp knife and not a safe queen, happy someone else scuffed up the satin finish first. My question is I got it for a pretty good price I think, but cant be sure since I am new to Busse. Everything I have seen about the BATAC LE would indicate mine is genuine (Busse logo, numbered, tigerhide handles) but what are some specific things to look for on this knife or on the logo to valudate authenticity? Thanks in advance

If you bought the one from Arizona custom I've been eyeing for a month, then it's the real deal.
 
I'm pretty sure without seeing it that you got a real deal one. I hope at least. Great choice for a camp knife too! Congrats and get us some pics. Welcome to the Madness. Now, just a warning, you may want to carry all of your credit cards with you camping. Once you get your fire rolling good and hot....toss those cards right in. If you don't, next camping trip you'll have to decide "which" Busse to take.
 
I find being on WiFi helps a lot. Also I link them through imgur use the BBC code option and link through the device option. I'm not great with tech stuff so hope this helps.
 
By the way Congrats on a great score !!!! And welcome to the madness !!!
The LE BATAC is a great blade :-)
 
Working doing Imgur but the number of my BATACLE is #770 if anyone has seen that one floating around changing hands. I am least second owner. Thanks

Very nice! Congrats. Sweet looking blade. Just what I needed to see - another model Busse I need to add to my "want" list!:D
 
Thanks xxwardexx for posting the above pics for me. This is my first Busse and from looking at other BATACLE pics mine looks to be genuine, would all those who looked at my pics of #770 agree? The satin finish does have scratches and is a bit shinier than what I have seen (I think someone previously did some polishing on it as I saw pics of BATACLE #770 that sold here in July 2010 with a different pattern of scratches, these current scratches appear to be a second round). Either way I am going to use it, just confirming it is authentic and hoping I got it for a good price not knowing the secondary market value for a user BATACLE. Thanks much everyone
