FINALLY!

After 60+ knives in the collection, I managed to get a hold of this beast!

I used to think Fällkniven was the ultimate s*ht but damn!! I confess now I understand why so many people lust so much after Busses, and why they are so highly praised. Quite probably my favourite knife, and I own some cool stuff.

Of course, I will be getting more Busse goodness in the future. Now I understand.

The best part? The seller marked this as a Basic 9, probably not knowing any better. I was super happy having acquired a Basic 9, so imagine the blast that was finding out it is a Basic 11 in INFI (at a B9 price). It even comes with a sheath!

Another curiosity: these pics are from a guy from the ar15 forums, but it is the same exact knife I now own. Not same model, I mean THAT is the knife.

Can anyone provide any info on it? can anyone finally confirm it is a B11?

Congrats on the sweet blade :thumbup:.

It sure looks like a Basic 11, but just measure the blade and if its 11" it's a Basic 11.

I think we all have purchased knives from sellers who were unaware of what they had for sale. OK - what? Two years ago, I picked up an unused SHSH2 round pommel PayPal/Shipping included for...$300. Enjoy your first Busse! We never forget these precious moments. And, remember two years from now - how much money you had today!..;-)

Hard to beat a B11, though if only there were a B13...

:eek::eek::eek:

Can you tell me about that edge bevel?

Also, congrats OP! I went for a 1311 first, but definitely wouldn't mind a B11 as well.

It's the from a very limited batch of Blade only offerings that were Asymetric edge B11's which Jerry ground himself. The other side is V-edge asymetric to the convex on the side shown in that pic. The old basics had that edge.

Thanks for the info and history AZTim.

I had seen references to asymetric bevels, but didn't know anything about them. It actually didn't even occur to me that your B11 might be one of those. I thought it had just been heavily reprofiled.
