I am looking at possibly purchasing my first Busse knife. I really like the smaller blades likes the meaner streets models. I also love the handle materials Busse offers like the snakeskin.

Can anyone give me a little feed back on a good smaller Busse to buy along with a good price and the best place to buy it from?? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!

Game warden or a Meaner you can pick up for around $200, you can get a BAD which is a sweeeet little knife from the company store for $260.00, all of these are good small users!

Game Warden, Active Duty, or Meaner Street would all fit the bill.

My preference is the AD as the GW is short in the handle for me and the MS is a bit long for EDC. Watch the Exchange, there are great deals out there and I know there are a few AD's listed right now, or check the Busse Company Store for BAD's (Boney Active Duty) in stock.

The Snakeskin in the smaller ones will be HARD to find, and a good bit higher than the lastest versions. The .170 and .195 Meaner's, .170 and .195 Active Duties and the GW's can be found at a good price.
Edit- I didn't mention the .125 AD's(BAD or Boney Active Duty), as some have said they are a great knife and available. I much prefer the BAD's with micarta though.

Here's a pic of the small one's like you like in Snakeskin for size comparison

Grab a BAD from the store while they're still around. They're awesome!!

Good luck finding snakeskin (my fav too)... Busse has none left so only second hand knives are available.

Personally I think you should sign up for a hog name and try for the next SFNO!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

The second Busse blade I purchased was a Boney Active Duty. I bought it from the Busse Company Store,,,, http://www.bussecompanystore.com/index.htm They were gr8 to deal with and have 3 versions available. Not as fancy as the snakeskin posted previously but a cool lil knife. I bought the blue/black,,,,,, but they're also available in orange/black and coyote/black,,,,,they're all G-10. You could also purchase a Mashed Cat Kydex sheath as well . I did. They shipped quickly and I was happy ,,NO REGRETS

'Course you can't go wrong with any Busse purchase,,,,, warranteed 4 Life

"good price" kind of depends on what you decide on.

For example I like these...

And I be lucky to find one for $500 and those tan ones could be $650

+1 on the BAD.
Since I got mine it hasn't left my belt and has been used for everything from kitchen duty to outdoors activities.

A Game Warden, Cultellus or a BAD would make a great first Busse. I have examples of all 3, and they're all nice. If I had to pick my favorite, I'd go with the Warden.

I am in agreement with my HOG brothers, but for a female opinion....

I really like the GW and the culties. You should be able to find something on the exchange. Lots of good stuff there now, and at decent prices!

Welcome & good luck!
