FIRST BUSSEKIN: Rodent Rucki!!!!!!

I'm super pumped. I almost picked up a SOB CG, but really wanted to start off with a bigger blade. Almost went with the TRASH 1, but then a Rucki popped up on the exchange and I just went for it. I have always liked the design of the Rucki, and heard SR101 is "90% of the performance of INFI at 60% of the price" (not trying to insult INFI at all, I'd still like to try it, but even the Rucki is gonna require some liquidization of other knives haha).

Anyway, I'm not sure this is worth a new thread, but I had some questions and didn't know where to ask them. First, I will probably be looking for a different sheath. I know of some of the custom makers, but I was wondering if any are particularly recommended for a really large blade like a Rucki (including non-custom/production outfits online)? It's kind of trivial I guess, but I am also wondering if these are sharpened at a certain angle (I know they're sharpened by hand, but maybe guided)?

Finally, I'd love to see pictures of Ruckis in use while I wait for mine to come! It should make it to me by Thursday, but it seems like that's a ways away.

They are awesome, I got one this summer in trade and sold it because I needed the funds but I would definitely like to get another. I also saw that you got a smoking price, congrats

Edit to add: I had an Azwelke sheath with mine (came with it) it was a great fit, I only carried it a time or two lashed to my mystery ranch ASAP pack while I was checking some game cams and chopped a little brush and some small limbs on my trails. If I would have kept it (or when I replace it) I'd get a kydex sheath from Buy Brown or Azwelke with an open spine instead so that if I'm using it in the fashion mentioned above I can unsheath it easier with the pack on, it would also make drawing from the belt easier I imagine with the long blade. I checked a couple out, but I'm writing a paper in a public space right now and videos of dudes hacking trees and 2 liters with a 15.5" knife might be a bit out of place haha

Oh, I didn't notice that. Awesome, I had seen some open back/spine sheaths and thought they looked like they would facilitate an easier draw. I will definitely look into Buy Brown and Azwelke!

I have had sheaths from both off them. Both great kydex benders. You will be pleased with either

Man, I've looked at that picture a lot. It was what first alerted me to the existence of the Rucki. I love the arctic white.

Go big or go home, I guess haha I had a SOB CG in my cart ready to purchase, but I always thought my first Bussekin would be a good bit larger than the SOB. So when this popped up, at a price that is doable for me, I just went for it.
