I'd been debating for a while over either getting an ESEE Izula (or II) or the BK14. I popped into New Graham Pharmacy the other day to give both knives a test feel. I went with the BK14 because of the additional blade length. I just could see having a fixed blade with a shorter cutting edge length than my EDC folder. I love the handy size of this little guy, as I don't have many knives in this overall size range.

So far it's been a great cutter. As I've read, the coating doesn't hold up too well, but shux, I love a well-used looking knife anyway.

At any rate, I really really like this little guy. I see why Becker has such a following now. I found some custom orange and black G10 scales on TheBay, and ordered an AZWelke kydex sheath in OD green directly from AL.

All in all, a great little package. 1095 is probably my favorite working steel, and this is simply a fantastic application of it.

I'm a believer! Thanks all.

Great look! I can't imagine living that close to the pharmacy, it would be so nice to try before I buy

I cant be the only one going " he buys his knives at a pharmacy??"

Must be real helpful to hold them before making a choice. I have never seen them for sale in person and have ordered all my Beckers online.

Same here, I wish I knew of a local place that sold them.

I have. As excited as I was to see Ka-Bar knives for sale in a brick and mortar store, I wasn't about to spend $100 for a 1211.

Congrats on the purchase OP, I love my BK-14 as well. Been carrying it around with me every where I go.
