877 with white handles, USA made, on clearance for about half what I spend a week on soda. How could I refuse? I drink too much soda anyway , so what if I get a little thirsty this week?

I am thinking I'll give my 110 a vacation this week and carry this fixed blade, instead.

First impressions are good. It feels good in the hand, has even grinds, sharp out of the package, scales are tight, no loose cutlers rivets.
Sheath can be set for right hand or left hand carry, or the belt loop can be taken off, a lanyard put on, and use it as a neck knife. The sheath holds the knife securely, too.

Next up (if I'm lucky) a 103 or 120?

A good find. Hope you enjoy it. Carry it with you everywhere you go and get to know it. DM

I recently bought a gun, it was a bit overpriced, but an 81 year old man was selling it, going into a nursing home and selling all his guns. I started to balk at the price and then realized he was an old man, selling the gun, and I could save that much money by cutting out soda until May of 2016. I bought the gun and gave up soda until May. Enjoy your knife!

That's the plan. My last fixed blade EDC was a (then brand new) Western L66, back in the late 70's, when I lived in California. It is going to take a little while to get used to this on the belt and not the 110, but I should be able to make the adjustment.

The boss has no problem with my carrying it while on duty (or off duty, for that matter), "You need a knife to cut packaging...", I figure the 3 inch blade should be less "threatening" than the 3 7/8 inch blade on the 110. (not that the 110 is "threatening".)
