I've been looking at these Big Jacks for a while now and I'm glad I picked it up. Forgive the crappy pictures; it took me forever to try to find a good angle to show off the colors in the Buffalo Horn. I've got a nice little patina forming on the bigger blade after using it to cut up some apples for a snack the past couple of days. The fit and finish on this knife is amazing, better than the F&F on any other knife I own. They do any incredible job over at GEC and can't wait to get another one.

I just received my first GEC too yesterday. A single blade Barlow in burnt orange bone. This company is very impressive! I'm already planning my next little cardboard tube :D

GEC's are addictive. The company ought to print a warning on the tube "Danger purchasing this knife may lead to a compulsive desire to purchase others."

Just wait till you get one of their burnt stag Northfields...then you'll really be stuck.

I agree. I wish they made a peanut in that burnt stag.

Give them time... they are coming out with new patterns at a pretty good clip now.

I always like that good marbled buffalo horn better than that pitch black horn. It shows depth in some places...

The threaded bolsters and the pulls on the blades are what sold me on this particular knife. I wanted something with a little extra touch and I got so much more. It feels like a custom knife to me.

Also, depending on how I hold the knife, I can see through the horn at the swirls of color underneath; it was those swirls of color I was trying to capture on photo.

Hunterfisher you dog. I am trying to find one of those 53's. I have a 54 in burnt stag and would love to get one of the pattern 53's in the same.

Those big jacks are nice knives. I have one in burnt stag I carry a lot. Love that knife. Your buffalo horn looks great, btw.
