Man, the grind line on that looks absolutely smooooooth. Nice one, man!

Thanks for your post Kieth,
About the pattern,
Could I have?
Over worked the steel/
over heated the steel/
over eteched/
or what other problems could cause the problem????
My goal has alway been to inprove on the the work I do.

Very nice! I see very slightly the pattern . . . I think it's the pattern:confused:

i've found different cable gives different patterns. looks to me like you used the stuff off of his spool of cable.
that gave that kind of pattern each time i used it. but the pieces joe brum dropped by in 6' lengths seemed to give a nicer more defined pattern with stripes of darker cable in it. as if they had mixed together two different alloys in the cable. it was nice stuff

what are you using to etch?

what mix of ferric and water? i use 3 parts distilled water up to 4 parts distilled water to one part ferric. works nice and slow. etch for about 10 minutes or so steel wool baking soda scrub, and acetone before doing it again. do it untill you're satisfied. may take about 3 turns or more

slower etch is better

hey man....I see the pattern just fine. I think the pattern sticks out just right. Too much more and I think it would make the piece look too "busy".

Great work. The subtle pattern looks super nice to me.

IG,
Here it is,
Merry Christmas to you and Helen,
Dave and Wendy:)

Nice job there Dave the Greek:thumbup: :D
I really like the blade style.
Merry X'Mas to you, Wendy, JR., Mini and Cooper. HEHEHEHEHE!!! Hope I did miss anyone?????;)
You'll have get your butt over here, to make some more up.

From tip to handle end that looks SWEET to me. I actually like the faint pattern on the blade, with that bolster and handle the overall knife has a impressively stunning, look to it. If I could afford it I'd have one of those

PS: I like to see the sheath that comes with it, that could be the icing on the cake?
