stole away 3 days this weekend to go camping at limekiln state park near big sur. JK bulldog and my wenger evo softouch were the only tools i brought with me. :) just a few pics of food and fire prep below. :)













 
damn fine looking knife, looks like a great trip to!

what are the dimensions on that fella?
 
thx guys! yeah i love this blade. dimensions: 8 1/2" OAL w/ a 4" blade. 5/32 O1. 1 1/2" blade height at it's tallest (by the thumb ramp - which is very comfy) i find it to be the perfect all around camp knife for me. robust AND slicy. :)

Nice! I like the foil pouch idea for cooking - we will have to try that next time we are camping.

The Bulldog looks like it lives up to it's name - thanks for the pictures!

This is a pattern I designed and commisioned John to build. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to build more!

The foil is great, keeps all the meat juices locked in. I ran out of gourmet spices I got from a JK forum member some time ago. So just salt, pepper and garlic. Still good.

sweet! i'd love to hear what you think of it! i've wanted to get this blade into more hands, but i have to admit i'm too selfish to do a pass around! :P pretty sure i couldn't do without this blade for a day!
 
As a new forum member, I just want to say hello and ask how I would get a JK Bulldog with Buckeye handles. I had gone kayaking several weeks ago with my former Army teammates and some no good sob broke my window and stole my JK knife out of my center console. I have been upset but, I saw this thread and joined this forum because, I think you guys might be just as crazy as I am for his work and I have been going to his website which led me here. Mine was a bowie but, this is way better for my use. Thank You for sharing and I will start emailing for a Bulldog tlovesknives design.
