Today I placed an order for a Swing Guard lockback knife from Canal Street Cutlery. Does anyone have one these, and what should I expect as far as quality? Can anyone compare the Canal Street Swing Guard to the German-made AG Russell Swing Guard?

I'm planning on ordering one of the new Ring Opening knives too, as long as the Swing Guard is satisfactory.

Can't comment on the Swing Guard or the Ring knife specifically, but in general I'd expect very good quality and superb fit & finish. If it's one of the Dark Amber Bone series, expect a beautiful, even coloraton and nice heft to the handles.

I've got a Queen Swing Guard with Cocobolo handles and was a little surprised at how light and almost dainty it feels for such a large knife. It has a fairly thin D2 blade. I'd be interested to see how the CSC knife feels in comparison.
