Its not here yet so doesn't really count, but I'm excited none the less.

Anybody know what this might be worth? Its a Case "Ten Dot Collection" Pocket Hunter

I have no idea of what it's worth, but you're gonna love that damascus!

I've got a peanut with the same stuff, and it's a cuttin little devil.

Carl.

congratz,
its certainly pretty!

Not familiar with the dimensions of the pocket hunter, is it the same size as a copperhead (3 3/4")?

Actually, I think the pocket hunter is more like a peanut; sub 3 inch class. Small wicked slicer.

Carl.

Yes, it's a small one. I believe those are a SFO from SMKW, and are currently on their website for $139.99.

Case's raindrop damascus is really great stuff.

Nice looking knife. I have a single blade Old Red Bone Pocket Hunter with CV steel.

They are a nice alternative for those who want something similar to the Peanut but a little different.

These are the specs I have found from smkw

Raindrop damascus steel blades
·Brass pins and liners
·Nickel silver arrowhead shield and "Ten Dot" engraved bolsters
·2" clip point blade
·2" skinner blade
·2-3/4" closed

Pretty excited about this knife found it on sale at a ridiculously good price. This is the first knife to be added to my pocket since I bought my sage 2 and if I like it well enough I might start looking into carrying more traditional folders than modern.

Thanks, its a small knife isnt it
but the damascus pattern is gorgeous!

I hope its everything your hoping for

Thanks for inroducing this knife to me...somehow it had passed under my radar :)
In this size range in Case knives, I do like this pocket hunter more than the peanut (Carl forgive me  ).
Nice find

Fausto, please don't apologize, I love the idea of the pocket hunter. If I wasn't so influenced by my own personal history with the peanut and my dad, I'd likely be carrying one. Or maybe a mini copperhead. I love small two blade jacks of all types. Remember, I didn't get into the peanut until after my dad passed away, and his old knife was sitting on top of my dresser. It was kind of a weird karma thing. I like the idea of two ful size blades in a small package. Or at least as full size as a couple of 2 inch blades in a 2 3/4 inch knife can be.:D

That's maybe the only change I'd make to a peanut, make the second blade a 2 inch wharnie or spear.

Carl.

Carl, I was pulling your leg on the peanut :D but I agree with you, the best blade combination (for general use, or rather for my use) would be clip/wharncliffe. Second choice would be clip/drop, then clip/spear.
That's why I like this pocket hunter more than a peanut (except for AG Russell pinched peanut, that has a wharnie as secondary blade).
As for your carry...the talk continues on your new thread. :)

That's a cool and useful looking pattern it reminds me a little bit of a Copperhead all in all that is one heck of a first Case knife.
