I finished up my first Chef Knife, Del and Mike D. inspired me to give one a shot. I know it could be a little bit thinner and will focus on that on my next one.

Specs:
Steel: 1/8" 1095
OAL: 10.5"
Blade: 5.5"
Handle: Stabilized Redwood (Thanks Mark!), G10 liners
Pins: 1/4" Micarta, 1/8" Nickel
Misc: Tapered tang, Hamon

Hey Daniel and Erik thanks! I had a lot of fun making this, there will definitely be more.
 
That is one cool looking chef's knife.
Have you tried it out cutting onions, tomatoes and such?
Delbert is a good source of info especially for getting the grind and thickness correct for the best performance.
Until lately I had no idea there was such a large demand for custom kitchen knives.
Looks like you are going in the right direction.
 
I like it from design to finish. It screams cut something.

I would love to see some more work along this line from you.

Wow, that is beautiful. Tapered tang is a very nice touch. I'd be happy to test it for you!! ;-)
