Two weeks from the time the CS knife was ordered, I received an e-mail that it had shipped. That's oddly way ahead of schedule (espeically for this time of year), but these things can happen.

No doubt they often have these in stock on hand. All they had to do was the engraving and ship it.

None of these are ever 'in stock' They are all built when we recieve an order for the knife. Sometimes we have more labor to run them and sometimes we have less labor, sometimes there are 5 orders for the week sometimes there are 80.

If the man says "none of these are ever in stock," I'm quite sure it means "none of these are ever in stock." Or maybe you're living on a different planet than the rest of us.
 
I'm living on planet Earth......where orders get canceled, knives are returned, mistakes are made (Oh, how well we know that mistakes are made) and ownerless knives or returned knives wait for the next guy to order his "custom" knife.

Never kid a kidder.

On one of my customs I was notified that it shipped the day after I ordered it.

I have to laugh. Yeah, I'm on this planet. Are you?

You're a little mixed up.....the post of mine that you quote was not in response to the other person you quote.

Go back and read where I said that "orders get canceled, knives are returned, mistakes are made (Oh, how well we know that mistakes are made) and ownerless knives or returned knives wait for the next guy to order his "custom" knife" (that is identical to the returned "knife in waiting").

Then the knife is sent to that person.

See it now? Buck may not want to call them "in stock," but that's what I'd call them. So, sometimes we get a custom knife incredibly quickly.

In my own experience I once got one in less than a week. It would have had to have been made in one day and was in fact shipped the day after I ordered it.

And this was at a time when others were waiting six weeks.

Are you understanding what I'm saying?

Why so angry and defensive?

Why all the rage and accusations when I state a simple fact?

Apparently I hit some sort of Buck nerve here, but I really don't understand the venom on such a small issue.
 
Yes, Buck 110, you finally got the sequence of five posts figured out with help from me.

The last one you post is out of sequence and missing some information.

I'm really not sure what you want from me, but Merry Christmas anyway.

Yes, sad to say, you are.

I haven't called anyone a liar.

If people say the Earth is flat, I don't call them liars.

I just choose to believe that the Earth is round based on what I've seen and my own experience.

first i have been to bucks plant and watched them being made..
if you want to see how they are made buy the DVD and see for your self..
they are not made ahead of any order..
all are made for each order
as J. said some days there are a lot some few
they are not made every day
but if you order a knife and they are running customs that afternoon yours gets in !!!
you were lucky !!!
many would pay much extra to make that happen
as to returned knives? i was told once years ago
they get an E engraved on the blade and put in the store as blemished!
that would be an FB now i belive
 
It's just too bad Esav didn't move this to Whine & Cheese, because I'm not allowed to say what I really think in this forum. You can use your imagination, though.
