I tried clay coating once before and it didn't work so this is my first "successful" attempt.

Working on this knife for a customer. I recently got some Satanite so I had to try it out. Pretty cool results..:D I can see how this gets addictive.

I was so excited it worked I had to tell someone. Ha..:p:p

Very nice, I also like the rough look on the flats.
What kind of scales will you put on them?

I'm using spalted maple scales that the guy picked out. I did a couple more etch cycles and polishing and it looks even better now. Can't wait to try the next one.

I remember my first hamon. I ran into the living room and showed my wife, which did not elicit the appropriate response. I have been chasing hamons ever since.

Ha Ha... That's exactly what I did and exactly the lack of response I got too... hence me posting it here before finishing the knife. :p

As I mentioned I did about 3 more cycles of etch and polish, ( silvo with 0000 steel wool) and it just gets better and better. I can't wait to do the next one. :D
