First Cold Steel suggestion?

Ok so as someone who thought they would never get a Cold Steel, I changed my mind. Even if Linn is a bit overconfident that doesnt mean the products are bad. So anyway I need a suggestion for a decent folder. Been thinking the Large or Medium Voyager. Would like to keep it around 50$. Weight is of no concern.
 
I particularly like the 2010 models, mostly the Recon 1, but AK and AL are good too.

Voyagers are excellent too, but I prefer G10 handles. Large voyager is a lot of knife for <$40.
 
the large voyager is a pretty nice knife. i was pleasantly surprised with mine.

I just went with a Recon 1 from my favorite Bay seller. I will let you guys know my thoughts when it comes :).
 
Good choice, I hope you will like it! It may be one of my top 3 folders of all time.
 
I think I will like it. I am eyeing the mini tuff too. Seems like a decent secondary to carry or something.

I just got my first Recon 1, awsome knife for the money. The lock will probably be stiff out of the box but it breaks in fast.

I EDC'd a medium drop point Voyager for a couple of years, it's light in the pocket and keeps an edge really well. I became more enamored with flippers and assisted openers so don't use it a whole lot now but you can't go wrong with that. I have a spear point recon I like, though they have changed the model a couple times since then, too big for me to EDC in any case. Spartans and Vaqueros have their fans but with the size and specialty blades they are a bit less practical for me. The Lawman gets great reviews but I've never held one.

Don't overlook their machetes for an entry into their products. I have their kukri and love it, have bought a few kukris from HI since then, might never have done so if I hadn't tried the lower end first to see how I like the blade shape.

I have an American Lawman which gets equal pocket time with a Griptilian and an Endura 4....I love the knife.

Can't say it enough how surprised I was with mine, in the best way possible. The thing is a tank. Fantastic EDC, you're gonna enjoy the ergos and triad :D
 
Ok so the recon 1 came in today and I am impressed! Feels great opens smloth for such a large knife. Sorry for baf gramar going off an android hana.
