Hey guys,
Just got my orange Izula and was in the process of figuring out the para-cord wrap with an integrated lanyard. As I was tightening down on the cord, the knife popped out of the sheath and bit me. Not too bad and on my left hand so I'll live. Thought you would like to see my pack set-up.

Yeah another bite. It's been a while. Welcome to the cult :)
The wrap turned out nice though

At least its better to be cut by your knifes then to cut them. :D

The orange izula looks sick with the tan pack you've got there, good choice!

Welcome to the club, there have been at least 5 of us who have had to get stitches from doing the EXACT same thing. Another who knows how many who have sliced themselves but didn't need them.

Nice color and wrapping on the Izula man... The cut suckz tho :p

So far I only got a RC-4 with the orange G10 handle but this lil ant is turning me on as well

that sucks but thanks for posting. i am going to mummify my izula in painters tape when i wrap it. did you figure out how to integrate the lanyard in the wrap? I was going to do a monkey fist and try to do the same..... i would interested if you have a link on the how to.... thanks.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I pretty much followed the "how to" on the cord wrapping section on the ESEE directions then went to google for cobra wrap. On mine the key was to tie the first square knot on the inside of the "O" then come back with another square on the outside that incorporated the ESEE para-cord (dark) to make 4 strands. From there, twist the cobra knot for as long as you want it, then needle nose pliers to hold "same color" tight to cut the ends and fuse with a torch lighter.

Found out the hard way that at the "O", one para-cord strand has to go one way and the other, in the opposite direction in order to get your square knot.

I did this by instinct mostly with a good bit of "doing and undoing" as to what worked.

Hope this helps.

I never realized how many people cut themselves while cord wrapping. Definitely wrapping mine up with duct tape next time I do it. I didn't even have mine in the sheath when I did it.
