Good day.

The time has come to get myself a Sebenza.
After starting with Spyderco and love them, i wanted to find more (max) quality and feel.

So from what i understand, a CRK is what to get.
I tried to study and research as much as i can but i have some questions if you could help me.

I have 2 models in mind to start that are also in stock right now.

-Large Sebenza 21 with the carbon/titanium frame and S35VN steel.

-Large Sebenza 21 with the all titanium frame and the Ladder Damascus blade. - i mean why not, if i'm after quality and also beautiful/special design

----------------------------------------------

So if i may these are my questions (sorry if some will sound wierd)

1. Any 'problems' with the Carbon frame over time i mean how tight the tolerences are, will the titanium and carbon age differently and not keep the same tolerences?
So, if yes, should i get a full titanium handle?
Or i should feel 'stupid' of questioning the quality :) ?

2. What is the equivalent in 'regular' steel for this Ladder Damascus ? S30V ?
3. I mean will it last also a long time in normal use ?
4. It says Stainless, so no problems that it will rust or need special care vs the S35VN for ex. ?

So any imput is of great service, beacause i've waited so long to do my 'research', the one i really wanted the most now is out of stock.
It was this one - so beautiful.

It has arrived.
In short, the legend is true :)

Simply amazing knive and quality and feel.
Feels to dense in hand like a hammer but so light.
When i opened it the first time it's like i armed a gun.
Amazing.

Some quick photos until i get my good camera to also expose the beautiful Damascus.
Vs a Spyderco Police.

You made a great choice! Use it hard, I know it will be tempting to baby it but it can take everything you can give. Enjoy it, it will last a lifetime if you take care of it. Also remember if you scratch it up or anything you can send it to the spa and it will come back looking new

Thank you.
Yes, that's my first intention, to baby it because it'so beautiful but i know it's also a workhorse.

1) Your knife will last longer than you are likely to live. And no you aren't stupid.

2) For most people's uses the steel is as good as s30v but this opinion is contovervsial. They are not the same

3) Yes it should last a very long time.

4) All stainles requires some care it is not rust proof. With some common sense care it will serve you well.

With that being said i would really love to get a large left hand carbon fiber with the s35v. Thats just my preferrence. Good luck!

Perfect thank you Scott Dog for the explanations and info.

1- Perfect.
2- Good, i only needed a general mark.
4- Yes, out of habbit i clean my blades everytime i use them, even my small Victorinox stuff, now imagine the Damascus - it's like a savour the process :)

More impressions on the knive.

It's feels so special - i carry it now every day it and feels perfect in the pocket - i just don't feel right without it.
When i have time i always want to look at it, study it - for me the 'pure' titanium handle and the Damascus blade with the blue thumb is a very good cromatic view.
It feel's so heavy in hand (dense) but it's so light - it'a very controversial experience.
Yeah, the feedback is amazing and that's what i wanted - to be special, perform and put a smile on my face.

It cuts perfect.
By mistake i bumped some metal with the blade (i felt a big inner pain when i heard the sound) -but no problem the blade has no mark.

Very happy with the knive, i love quality and for me i think this is all i need - maybe in time to collect more CRKs.

@ Taonari - the knive is here :)

These are my initial pics

Cool warhammer. CRK makes the best folders IMHO. Use that baby but treat it with a little respect and common sense and you will be a happy knife nut. CRK does damascus very well.:cool::eek::D

Oh! My bad. I didn't see the links initially. That is a beauty. Could you sleep at all the night before delivery?
