One of the pieces I picked up at the Badger Show was a Jeff Hall Model 4. The action is very smooth, it fits the hand perfectly, and while the lines are simple it is very carefully made. I'm very happy with this one, and Jeff is a great guy!

I handled that knife, and can vouch for the smooth action and solid lockup. I love the geometric patterning on the bolsters! Good get, Summer!

Congratulations SL. Looks like a great first to me. Hope it is the start of more great knives and friends for you!

Summerland,
I got one of his small Model 2s about a month or so back. The model 2 comes in 2 sizes

I'm looking for another knife now, and I think I'll go back for a #4 or an SSJ

I also handled it (at dinner) and I agree you got a good knife and a good deal. I bought a nice little folder from Jeff but I struggled with which model to buy. I really liked the model #2 and #4 also. I also suggested he make a #2 in a smaller size closer to the #4 in length. I was more impressed with his workmanship this year and I'm thinking he's about to break out to the next level as a maker.
A side note: I have decided I will only buy knives made by makers I have met personally. It is much more rewarding than buying a knife made by ______ who I don't know.
Congrats on your first custom. Now you're hooked!
