First custom knife

Very nice. I enjoy custom knives a lot more then production these days, congrats on getting your first.

Wow. That is very cool. It's subtle enough to not look too flashy, yet a knife enthusiast can look at it and know it's something special instantly. Very well balanced looking. I also appreciate a knife when the handle sits kinda up and away from the blade so you don't drag your knuckles across what you are cutting. Beautiful.

I dig the pocketclip as well. Does it slide out through the back of the scale or is it permanently attached?

The blade steel used in the knife is RWL34. To my understanding RWL34 is a powdered steel and has similar properties to cpm154. I have no experience with either but i do know that cpm154 is an improvement on 154CM which i like quite a bit. Haven't used the knife long enough to have any empirical data on the steel but if anything changes ill let you know :)

Thank you, I originally just wanted a plain titanium knife but my better half suggested I go for the CF inlays. I'm glad i did because it certainly gives the knife some character without making it too flashy. I like both versions of the knife and its a testament to the design that I own both. Sacha however is the original knife maker charged with bringing the design to life and as such he has mastered his work to a level you just cant find on the production line.

Here's a picture showing how the pocket clip attaches to the knife

Sorry for the blurry image but as you can see there's a little area that is carved into the back spacer that the clip slots and screws into. Its an elegant solution that keeps the aesthetics of the knife clean :)

Go for it. Sacha is very responsive and responds to inquiries and queries very quickly. He answered all my questions in short order and this was before i had even committed to placing an order. Overall i felt the level of communication was above and beyond what i had expected. From start to finish this process took about 2 months. I was at first quite nervous at prospect of getting a knife made by someone halfway across the world. I had read stories about how it could take months and sometimes even years to see the finished product. I was actually expecting it to be a while till I saw my knife, so you can imagine my surprise when a month and half in Sacha contacted me telling he had finished the knife :P. The last two weeks were just making the payment and shipping and that just flew by.

Wow -- VERY nice, Thaeffman!

I got a standard factory Perrin PPT a couple of weeks ago, and it quickly (well, immediately) worked its way into my favorite EDC rotation.

What is the blade length on that custom job?
