Being a knifemaker myself, I am not much into buying other peoples knives. I really am not much of a collector at all. However, with a friend like Dale Reif living nearby it was inevitable that he would eventually come out with a knife I just couldn't resist. And he has done just that. For my first custom purchase I got one of the first of a new model called MATRIX. I am going to post a pic but this knife has to be held in your hand to be really appreciated. It is 8 1/2" long overall with a 3 3/4" blade. Steel is CPM440V and the scales are solid Titanium with lightenung holes and a carbon fiber underlay. Full 1/16" thick Ti liners and a 1/4" pivot pin. Topside serrations in blade and liners for thumb purchase, recessed lock and dual thumbstuds.
Totally tactical from an art knife maker. You gotta love it. What do ya think of this??

Gary, you are a lucky man!

Dale, I think that this is one of your finest creations. A truly original and subtle design.

That is nice, I much prefer it to the "Jaguar".

Ok, ok, ok....where do you sign up to purchase one of these. That is just plain OUTSTANDING!!! My question is NOT in jest! Are any more available? That is the knife I keep seeing in my head!

To contact Dale about one of these or any of his other knives e-mail him at drknives@aol.com. He will be happy to talk to you. I'd post his phone # but he might not appreciate that. Good luck!!!

OH Yeah! There is a link to his website in the BFC Links if you want to see some serious art.

Very, very, very, very nice. I believe you when you say it must be held to be appreciated. Looks like it hates to be closed. Truly an admirable piece. Thanx for sharing it.

Beautiful job, Dale. Congratulations. That thing looks like it's put together as solid as a brick s---house, especially with the 420V blade. Any chance those titanium handles could be modified to allow for an integral/frame lock mechanism?
