My first custom slippie arrived in the mail today. It is an Alsdorf that I bought recently from SharpNJ. Thanks Marty and thank you Rob (Thomason) for sending me in his direction. I'm very impressed with this knife. Here it is....

Congrats, Jason. Welcome to the slippery slope...

That Alsdorf is a great way to begin with your first foray into custom slipjoints.
There is no turning back now. Your fate is sealed. It's going to be a lot of fun though.:D

I know....it was only a matter of time. I've collected and enjoyed custom fixed blades for quite some time. I always carried a pocket knife....usually a Queen and never thought I needed a custom slipjoint. I realized the word "need" or any conjugation of it has no place in my knife buying experience. I still love my production slippies.....but I think I will truly enjoy expanding this part of my collection.

Yep,these guys all said it good & Congrats.I had one of these once, what a great little knife!!

Quite a good looker, Congrats to new owner and to Alsdorf for making such fine slippies.

Glad you like it Jason - enjoy! Oh, nice pics (certainly a hell of a lot better than the ones I sent you).

Having and carrying a custom slipjoint in no way reduces your appreciation for the production models. Congratulations on the first--may there be many more.

You might not be starting out high dollar, but you are starting out with top quality:thumbup: I've said it over and over, No One equals Mike's fit and finish at a simlar price range. I EDC'd one similar to this for about 5 months and now regret parting with it...that's alright though I'm gonna get another one soon.

I am with Durwood on this (picked up my first Alsdorf form him and I was floored by the fit and finish of the knife:)).
He really puts a lot of value into his knives, you made a great choice and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

That`s a beautiful folder and a great way to start a custom knife collection! Congrats!:thumbup::D

It's doesn't matter if it came from the custom or production pile. . . .as long as it's a slippie.

Nice slippie, dood ! :D
