I own a storefront. I provide several services, mostly art related. I am also a NRA certified pistol instructor, and a Nebraska certified Concealed Carry instructor.

I want to be able to sharpen knives, so I can go to gun shows, and shapen knives, free of charge, while drumming up interest for Gun Classes.

Today, at my storefront counter, I sharpened my first official customer knife. Free of charge.

All went well.

I used my FrankenSharp. I did it on the KME jaws, with EP rod and stones, with the final 1500 grit using PTFE fluid, 300 strokes on each side with the PTFE.

stropped it on the Jet wet sharpener leather hone wheel, with polishing compound.

Blade was immensely sharp. 25 degree factory set bevel. Mirror polish, (what little polished edge was present, not much to show off at 25 degrees. )

Customer was impressed.

Was it really free? Not really, he has taken one of my $100 gun classes already.

You think we will not be quick to recommend to his friends, my gun classes? His pocket knife, is a constant business card in his pocket.
