First cuts

Post your first cuts for a new knife. I had some asparagus in the garden that needed harvest.
I just finished this Jantz pattern 32 in CM154. My first time jimping, I'm guessing it is best to jimp before heat treat.

I handle several folding knives all day everyday at work .
No cuts .
Came home .
Unboxed this one (I'm a sucker for dark blue handled knives even if they are inexpensive / basic) .
Canoes really speak to me design and blade thinness wise . So double whammy .

Opened and closed the large blade .
Nice . Decent edge from the factory . Happy Dog !
I open and close the little blade and the thing has me by the finger ; blade trying to close through my finger EATING ME ALIVE !
Happened super fast .

All healed up now / can't even find where it happened .

So yeah , I suppose that counts to .
Still no idea how that happened . Doesn't have a half stop but I don't even like half stops / prefer without . Something about the cam / lobe on the small blade .
I'm happy I have the knife though . Good knife for the $.

I just broke down the box . Boring task to show I know but
INTERESTING KNIFE !
Can set head angle in two positions : all the way open / normal or angled as shown .
Steel liners , action like it is on bearings , button lock . . . the black front looks like plastic but is just plastic like textured paint (magnet strongly sticks to it ) , thick full handle . I've had my eye on it since it came out for the downward angle thing (still folds compactly ) .
Came today .
