First dagger grind

Forged this on Friday from an old lathe file and finished it up late last night. The steel is a mystery but likely 1095 or W1/2 from what I've read. (?)

5 3/4" blade and 10 1/2" OAL

Boy it was tough to keep the grind straight. Fun stuff though. I didn't fuss too much.

First time with the handle wrap too.

Thanks guys. I've done some hamons in 1095 and this one is a little different so I was thinking W1 as well.

Awesome grinding job Stu ! I love everything about this knife (i have seen it in person!), the grinds, the handle and of course the hamon . There seems to be no limit to your abilities and imagination my friend !
