This is the first Dagger I have attempted. I junked about three blades cause I couldn't get it exactly symmetrical. This was as close as I got. It was such a tough knife to do. I kept taking a little off here then a little more until I said that is as close as it is gonna get. I know what I will do different next time.

The materials and blued steel were requested by the new owner.

Gun Blued 1/8" 1084 steel
Over All length 9 1/4
Blade length4 1/8
Handles black linen micarta/Real ivory
Stainless and micarta pins

Yep it sure was a buggar. Took me three blades to get it like this. Thanks!

I just wanted to post a pic the new owner sent me of the dagger and his ivory gripped pistol.

On it's own the dagger looks a little silly, big stainless pins, blued blade etc. But as a set it looks quite nice :)

I understand where you are coming from, which is why I get a little nervous when someone asks for something different like this. If they don't end up buying for some reason or another it will be hard to sell off. The new owner loves it and has called me to let me know what others have said about the knife, and that is what's important. So far so good. Thanks!

great looking work I agree about making daggers they are not that easy to do. The blue and Ivory goes together nicely ...Steve

I heard a saying that might fit this situation, "Perfection is the enemy of STOP." How do you know when further tinkering is going to end up with improvement or just more tinkering?

It's a nice dagger, a kinda EK style edge. Good job.
