Well it already came in!!!After a heads up from a thread hear at BF about a sale at Delta-Z's website and I couldn't pass up a 25 dollar knife. Obviously their ordering process works because it got here only 3 days after ordering. My intial reaction's are as follows.

The knife is a DZ-6121-OB it is a liner lock tanto design with olive briar wood scales and a 440 steel satin blade. Its actually prettier than I thought that it would be...I think that this will be my new office knife;)

Came out of the box sharp...not quite as sharp as my SOCOM came but sharp enough to pop any wayward hairs directly off of my arm:D I was suprised to find a fairly steep angle on the on the edge and the edge geometry is slightly steeper at the front of the blade than the bottom cutting edge. There was some blade wobble but I think that that can be cleared up with a turn of the torx screw at the pivot. Also may need a little lubrication. The liner lock is a little thinner than I have seen on most other makes...BM,spydie etc. but looks to be adequate.

Well its npot a BM or Microtech but I am more than happy with this purchase. Definitley worth the $25:cool: that I paid for it. I would certainly put this knife in the realm of CRKT's but is definitley prettier in its scales. Almost reminds me of an old barley knife.

I know a bunch of you all got some of these hope you'll let us all know how your deals came out!!!

I have two on the way and due to be deliveried on the 18th. For some stupid reason I opted for the Fed Ex delivery. If I would have gone for USPS I would have had it by now. I am looking forward to recieving them and there would have to be something terribly wrong with them for them not to be worth every penny of the $24.50 I spent on each:)

Well, my Delta-Z just got here about 10 minutes ago.:D

I bought the fixed blade DZ-5312-MW with stabilized brown maple burl scales.

My initial impression is very high.

The knife is hollow ground with a very even grind from side to side. The edge appears to be evenly ground, as well, all the way down both sides of the knife. Very nice.

It's of full tang construction with a tastefull taper. The maple scales, tang, scale rivets, and lanyard hole/spacer are all fit nicely and very smoothly finished.

The knife came with a very nice (light brown/maybe even tan-ish)leather belt sheath that incorporates a removable retention strap.

This knife was definately well worth the $49.00 I payed for it.

I look forward to adding this one to my collection.

PS - Just an extra note as well. The knife came not only with the invoice (which appears to be signed by Barnaby Zelman himself) but also the packing list with their "QC" stamp on it. IMHO, both are nice personal touches that add to the experience of buying this knife.:)

I have my 2 here as well. Didn't even open them yet. I have a few things to do and I will throw up a scan and my inital impressions as well.:)

Here they are!! I finally got a chance to look at both and I love them!! At $24.50 a piece, how can you beat it?? They are very smooth.
I have already made a return trip to the website to check on my next order. I think next time I may splurge and get one of the $29 models.:D

BG,
You're right, this is a much better scan. You caught both knives real good here.

They are some great knives, I may may every single model they have in that promotion section before its all said and done.:) They may not compare to say a Benchamde 940, but then again you can buy 5 Delta Zs for the price of 1 BM

Hey it looks like we both got the same model in the wood handle. For 24.50 these really are a deal. Just a question though are the grind angles on the leading(tip)edge different from the trailing(belly) edge? I think on mine there is a small difference. Just curious;)
