Since I am just starting off on my knife maker journey I figured I should start with some fixed blades since I know they are simpler but still good for practice.

A total of 8 warncliff blades to start. All from one single stick of 1084 carbon steel. The smaller one is a 3" edge and the larger a 4" edge. Both include a bottle opener on the back.

After cutting them out I had lots of grinding to do to clean up the edges and for the bottle openers. I was able to use my mentor's wilmont grinder. He owns several attachments including the 1/4" small wheel which allowed me to grind the bottle openers. Though I learned it will be easier to file for cleanup.

Finally with all the holes and edges ready I began to grind the bevels. Have never done a warncliff before but had some practice with some drop points that I made for my mentor. I did most of the grinding of the bevels on a grizzly grinder before finally doing the final two using the wilmont. The machines have totally different feels and are positioned differently in the shop. (My mentor is a bigger dude than me)

As of right now the blades are waiting on a free day so my mentor and I can do the heat-treat at the shop that I work at. Until then I have started the handles and will post pics of them as I texture/finish them. I hope to have most of these done within a few weeks, so that I may move onto the next project. But until then I will be playing with the blades and double/triple checking everything including the bottle opener.

I figured a PG rated picture of the bottle opener may sit better. Hehe
Thanks for the reads and sorry for the heavy amount of pics. Hope you enjoy it at least half as much as I am enjoying this project/process.
