We only had a little snow last night but it still made it look more festive so I threw my kit and the dogs into the car and took off !

As I was feeling festive I even wore my Christmas sweater !

I've mentioned the BBQ matches that are in my kit before, today I decided to see if I could use one on my stove to make a cuppa......

It looked impressive enough.....

While I waited for the cuppa, inspired by Bushy's post I decided to try out the pencil sharpener that I have carried around ( Sorry Kev,lugged around) for the past 3 years and never used !

2nd strike of my ferro-rod and we had fire. I was very impressed and will probably use it more often now. It made the tinder much quicker and easier than using a knife !

Back to the cuppa, the BBQ match burned out and my tea was only warm, I'll stick to using these for emergency fire lighting ( they rock for that) and use the fuel tabs that came with the stove for making tea !

Off we set again, Maisy leading the way with the Terror close behind !

It's very rare the Terror stands still but I did manage to snap this one as she listened to a noisy crow in the distance...

Now is it just cos I'm feeling a little christmassy or does anyone else see an angel like shape in this piece of ice ?

Great pics, Pit. Thanks for sharing. It is always great to try out something that hasn't been used. I have had a pencil sharpener and never used it for the longest time. Need to get out and use one.

Nice pics. How much snow do you typically get in your neck of the woods?

Good stuff pitdog. I see a fetal goat rather than an angel in that icecube. You don't look like such a tough guy in that sweater.
