Looking for the best EDC knife under $150. I'm looking for black blade with black grips or tan grips. This will probably be my one and only EDC knife that I'll buy.

The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 would fill the bill. The ZT 0350 would be an excellent choice as well.

A large griptillian would work perfectly and fit nicely into that budget especially if you look in the exchange section!

If you are looking for low maintenance, a Black Pacific Salt might fit the bill. I carry one at work everyday, going on 2 years. It may not have the edge retention, or other properties of the higher end steels but, will not rust. Great everyday knife!

Manix 2 or Para 2 DLC. Spyderco's DLC is particularly wear and scuff resistant, the Para 2 in the photo is over a year old. I would be hard pressed to decide between the 2, personally I might give the edge to the Manix 2. They are both exceptional knives, the Para 2 is lighter if that is important.

anyone know where I can get a para2 all black? I've been looking and it seems to be out of stock everywhere. I live in the bay area(San Francisco) as well if anyone knows a shop out here that caries it.

Your best bet would probably be the exchange right here on Blabeforums.

The PM2 is my recommendation as well, whatever it's worth. Its very lightweight and has a great steel (CPM-S30V) in your price range. I have a pretty good assortment of knives here with me; it finds its way into my pocket more than any other. The knives I use at work (military) get used often and hard; the PM2 has not let me down.

Came here to say exactly this. PM2 is about 60% lighter than the 0350 though, and I believe it carries smaller as well (from the pics I've seen anyways). I personally have the blackout PM2, and it's such a quality blade I'm going to purchase a second as a backup. From what I understand, I'm not alone in that mindset. Brilliant piece of craftsmanship.

First thing that came to my mind was a large Griptillian and the Para 2 would come next. The Grip you can get in so many configurations and even customize it if you buy it straight from Benchmade.

There are several black bladed Para II's on the very large auction site that starts with an E.

Though they are slightly over you target price.

A full size Griptilian could be had for much less.

Any blade length restrictions?

The Benchmade Griptilian seems like a winner. Or as others have mentioned, the Spyderco Paramilitary 2.

Even a Kershaw Blur would be a good choice, and, leave you plenty of money left over for another knife. ;)

This will probably be my one and only EDC knife that I'll buy.
We all said that in the beginning.

Hold out for a PM2. Highly recommended over a Grip. A ZT would serve you well but I prefer the PM2. You may have to have patience but it will be worth the wait. CS usually announces when a batch comes in on Facebook but they sell out within a very short window.

Save your self a hundred bucks and check out the Gerber Swagger AO If you haven't already… Honestly this is one of my best blades and perfect for EDC. Not to mention, its only $30 bucks! The G10 grip texture is the best I've felt..I've seen mixed review on the knife online, but honestly its well worth the price!

Let me guess, that's your video?

What makes it better than the other choices mentioned in this topic?
