Hello, everyone. I've never posted in this area before, but I just purchased my first Emerson, so I figured it was time to do so.

Combat Systems Fighter...my first, but definitely not my last.

Congrats Kels!! That's a beauty right there; I never had one of those but it sure looks appealing to me; it's almost like a mix between the CQC8 and the Roadhouse, I can see both of them in that blade; awesome knife! I can imagine that with desert tan scales would look bad a..!

Congrats! I just ordered one yesterday. I have one question though, are the washers different from standard Emerson knives?

I was looking at this on my phone last night, but now that I see the picture in my PC, is even more beautiful; and it has a very low serial number too! Very nice score man! It really looks like an 8 but the handle is chubbier, I love Emerson's ergonomics, they just fit perfectly in my hand.

that's a helluva good start, imho. it really does flow more than i originally thought.

I'm new to Emerson, so I'm not sure what's standard. My knife appears to have phosphor bronze washers.

Emerson knives normally do not use metal washers, but I remember reading from somewhere that states they use GTC stainless bearing washers for this model. Just wanted to confirm.

Edited: I also thought this was a limited to 180 pieces, but seems like it's not true based on the serial number of yours.

With all the models that Emerson produces, I wonder why this is the only model to receive metal washers.

I've got an early SF one of these and just got a BT one and both have the nylatron washers. The only ones that I am aware to use the bearings are the flippers and the Iron Dragon. I don't know of any Emerson that has ever had bronze washers.
