I want to buy my first custom but can't decide which to get between Roadhouse and CSF...

This gonna be a safe queen since I already have production version of both model.

What you guy would get if you were me?

Well...I had a CSF. Have a Roadhouse coming in today. I'll let you know my pick of the 2 later today.:)

Not sure I've ever seen a real CSF Custom, so might hafta' go that way. Had a Super Roadhouse Custom and loved it too, so no wrong answer. I do think tanto's look great in Ernie's zero grind.

Can't go wrong with either one in my opinion, as Lycosa said, flip a coin, they both look good!

Good luck!

I'd say roadhouses they seem abut more classic tome and would fit the custom look better I'mI, but that's without an experience with emersons customs.

That is a hard choice, I'd say a Roadhouse but I have never had a CSF and it looks amazing; Ebidis posted a picture of one recently and I thought it was a Roadhouse! Of course I'm half blind and tired most of the time, but it really looks awesome.

Actually I'd Prolly say handle shape is more important than blade shape if you ever want to, you know, hold it.

^true, but those two knifes have a very similar handle shape....almost identical.

I would choose the CSF because it was a great design and concept and it fits great in the hand. Honestly though it's the best of both worlds. It has a Roadhouse-type handle with a CQC 8-type blade. If you like the handling of the roadhouse and the belly of the CQC 8 blade then the CSF should be the one for you

I say Roadhouse for me. The blade geometry on the CSF is different/upswept enough that I didn't like it at all. Lovin' the Roadhouse as once in hand with my usual grip, blade angle is more inline with my forearm.

Even though I own a csf and love it, I would say go for the Roadhouse, because the custom Roadhouses that I've seen are just sick!

Although, a custom CSF might be a little more rare.

Had? You let it go? Man, that was an awesome blade.

I've seen CSF customs but they do seem to be rare. Any Roadhouse custom I have ever seen has a chisel grind while the CSF is a V grind. This may not matter if you keep it as a safe queen like you say but if you ever do decide to use it this may matter to you.

If the roadie custom you are looking at has a zero grind that would be my vote. Although, the CSF is definitely the rare pick of the two. Are they the same price? Does one have the new logo and the other a Specwar logo?
