My thoughts...
Awesome knife...
It's tight. *The paperwork says it's supposed to be. *It'll loosen up with time? *Any experience with that? I don't want to adjust the pivot if it's supposed to be this way.
And..
The lock up is pretty late. *Do you know if that's normal?
 
What did you get? Do you have any pictures? I love Mr. Emerson's customs! I guess you could loosen up the screw a bit to adjust to what you like or you can just llet it wear in with normal use...
 
It's a custom cqc-7. It was for sale here last week. The ad is still there with pro quality pics. After a day with it...
I don't know what the complaints are about the chisel grind. I cut up some fruit for my toddler and a cardboard box no problem. I loosened the pivot slightly..perfect now. Not crazy yet about the wave feature. Cut myself once when it
caught on my pants and opened slightly. If I "wave" it on purpose it's great but not sure I need that feature. I LOVE
the linen micarta. Best handle material ever. The knife is awesomely built. But very late lock up and if you wave it it goes full 100%. That's my 1 day ownership review of the first custom Emerson I've ever touched.
