First Emerson on the Way

So my first Emerson, Mini Commander, is on the way and I'm really excited to get it. I've been looking at them a while but for some reason have just never pulled the trigger on one. I think the grind may have been the main reason I held back from getting one.

And even though I havent gotten it in hand yet or even handled on of them I'm already debating on which other models I am interested in ha. Did I just get started in a direction that is going to put a hurting on the bank account?? :D

Yes You Did! I just found BF earlier this year. Scince then I have bought 3 Emersons and I want more. My only problem is I like other brands too, like ZT and been looking at customs also. I need another knife like I need another hole in my head! :p Emersons are kinda like Lays Potato chips, you can't just have one. Good Luck and welcome to the club.
 
Mini-comms are great! Good pick, one of the best handle shapes out there.
 
Hopefully it should be here Tuesday. I've been watching vids and looking at pics on the net to tide me over haha
 
I am still trying to decide what my first Emerson should be. I really would like to buy one i just cant decide what to pull the trigger on. Was thinking an Ubr Commander.

I was pretty much in the same boat. I'm dont care much for the super or large line. They are a bit too big for me to edc and I dont think they would replace my ZT560 for a larger carry. But I really like the looks of the Mini Comm, Horseman, Journeyman, and the Mini 15. The CQC-11 also looks really nice but the blade is just a tad too long.
 
Congrats on your new Mini Commander, Shandrydan1! My regular Commander has great ergo and feels perfect in hand. I think you cant go wrong with any within the Commander's family.
 
Just got my first Emerson today. CQC-8, and I'm uploading the unboxing to youtube as I write this.
 
Just got my mini comm bt on saturday. Absolutely awesome, my new favorite EDC. Not my first Emerson though. Bought a cqc-7bw back in 2009. Very happy with both so far.

My first Emerson is a CQC-8. It should arrive in a few days. I see a Journeyman(I'm a journeyman ironworker...so it would make a nice work/EDC knife...that I'll never let anyone borrow. LOL) and a CQC-14 in the future.
