Well, I finally threw down the money for my first Emerson (satin CQC-13 w/serrations). I’ve read a lot of the gripes with the locks and fit and finish, hopefully they were just lemons and my experience will differ (there's got to be a reason they're always sold out right:D).

Here’s crossing my fingers; can’t wait for it to arrive:thumbup:

Please post pics of 13's if ya got 'em:D

I just got my first two this month - a CQC-7 and -8. Fit and finish, as well as lockup, etc., were all first rate.

I ordered my first two last month. Sad to say that I purchased my next two a couple a weeks ago, and another yesterday. Sad for my bank account that is. Mini CQC7, Micro Commander, CQC7V x2, Combat Karambit, and I'm sure more to come. I'm definitely hooked by now. Enjoy your first one, I'm sure it won't be your last.

Glad to hear it:thumbup:

Yikes! Sounds like you got it bad:D

Don't think I'll be buying anymore for a little while, moneys tight, getting this one was a bit of a stretch. I plan on carrying it EVERY day and really giving it some good use:thumbup:

I own around 7 Emerson knives now, and I truly like them all. I don't particularly care for all the designs, but the ones that I do have are winners. The A100 is another fantastic one to get if you can.

Well... I didn't get my CQC-13...

I got a Commander SFS

Ordered from Kevin (Spark) at 1SKS and he mistakenly sent me a Commander. After handling it though I decided I liked it well enough and Kevin and I work out a deal we could both live with.

F&F could be a little better, but its far from bad. The lock was sticking pretty bad at first but is getting less and less so. The lock bar engagement is also getting more consistent with use.

So far I'm pretty happy with it:thumbup:

Glad it worked out in the end. The 13 is very cool but if you like sticking your knives into wood, then the Commander has a much more robust tip.

Ah, that was just for a posing pic:D (I utilize an existing crack and just pressed it in a little further).

Still like the looks of the 13, maybe at some point down the road I'll pic one up.
