Just got my first Emerson yesterday, a CQC-7B. I had read some pretty negative threads about Emerson in the Blade Disc. Forum and I have to say those guys are whacked! It's a great knife. Razor sharp out of the box and incredibly well put together. I'll wear out before it does.

Luckily there's a knife wholesaler near my house that stocks Emerson. I only paid $80.00. He had a SPECWAR for $100.00 and a Commander for $130.00. They're next on my list (my fiance wishes I had never found the place).

I have a couple of "7s" in my collection, throw me an email maybe I can help you out

There's a little hole-in-the-wall called the Cecil Clark Knife Co. in Newport, KY. They sell to dealers through a catalog, but if you walk in they sell wholesale (no sales tax w/ a Fed. Tax No.). They carry the entire Emerson production line for about half retail. They also carry the entire SOG, Spyderco, Cold Steel, Boker, Gerber, CRKT lines, plus many more, all wholesale. (No Benchmade, though. :( )

It's like an inexpensive heaven.:D

Emerson_girl,

As for Kentucky, I think you have even less chance of walking in than I do. :(

/me lives in California.

Sad, eh?

;)
