I got my first esee knife yesterday, I had no idea what to expect, iv been following the esee forum for about a month and have learned alot about there knives and knives in general. when i opened it I will have to say i was very impressed with how sharp it was out of the box. I beat on it alittle, batoned some wood, ect, see what it could do, and it was still pretty damn sharp after beating on it. Then I took it to my belt sander and convexed the edge, it probaly took one of the best edges iv ever gotten off of it. I took it to work today instead of a folder and it worked good, im not used to a fixed blade but it did what i wanted it to do. Its a very sweet knife that i intend to use hard. The only negatives of the knife is i dont really care for the blade shape, i wish it was more long and skinny than short and fat. But it seemed to work good for what it does. This will not be my last esee knife, cant wait for the folder, great knife esee cant wait to try it out some more.

Nice one, eh? I just got my Izula this week too. A little smaller than I expected, but sturdy as hell! Congrats on yours, bro! Welcome to the obsession!

I love the Izula, definitely my most used knife of all. Something about it....

I carry it everyday :thumbup::thumbup:

Congrats!:thumbup:The Izula was my first ESEE too.Great little knife.

I have two Izzies, one for home/freetime edc and one work edc. Its a tough little bugger, and its from the "fatness" that its that tough. I baton it, pry wood and other stuff and it doesn't budge.

Now you need a 4 as camp knife and the Lite machete for clearing the woods. ;)
