First ESEE Knife

I ordered a comprehensive survival kit from the ESEE site and got it today. They must have shipped it as soon as I placed the order because I think it was only 2 days ago.

The kit, of course, came with an ESEE 6 which I understand is the medium-medium/large model.

I'm definitely diggin the knife, something about it just makes me want to beat the crap out of it. The handle fit is perfect, very grippy and the contours are comfortable. I like the fact that the handles can be removed, living near the ocean, I'm always paranoid about corrosion.

The sheath is great quality: excellent fit kydex with a thumb ramp for drawing the knife and MOLLE compatible locks.

My friend stopped by and picked up the kit, but before she got here, I traded out the ESEE with a well used Spydie Forager... she'll never miss it :D
 
Don't take the scales off! The whole damn knife is coated; you have nothing to worry about as far as corrosion is concerned.
 
Just to get this straight, you took her ESEE 6 and left her with a well used folder?... That doesn't sound very nice. and not to nit-pick but that sheath is not kydex it is molded plastic. Nice kit but the esee six has a giant part of that kit and you took that part out...:confused: hope your female friend never finds that she needs to use an emergency kit and only has a beat up folder.

The forager is a fixed, 7.5" blade.

Are you guys mad that I split the kit up? Not like I care, I bought it, I'll do whatever I want with it. I added a AA mini mag light and a poncho, is that a problem too?

Besides, the only thing that says ESEE is the knife, the rest of the kit is generic...
 
Lol at the hate... Enjoy the knife! Teach her to use the other one... Good call on the kit, I think a big ones comin out here.
 
I read it wrong. I took it that it was her kit and you swiped her knife. My fault. Your kit, your knife, do as you please.
