So I totally blame you guys for my last spending spree, it was the only way to get rid of the fever you have spread. This morning I ordered a Junglas w/ sheath and a Sawvivior w/pouch and extra blade. Should be here by the weekend so I guess I'll be burning till then. After reading GOBS of reviews and videos this set seemed like an awesome twosome to add to my fire making/survival kit. QUESTION. I'm on the fence over which smaller ESEE to get, 4", 5" or 6" to go along with the Junglas. WHAT SAY YOU ? Maybe even lead me to any threads that have discussed POU on 4,5,6 inch blades.

I'm a neophyte here myself and getting ready to pull the ESEE trigger. Mind letting me know where you made your purchase?
TIA for your time.

Personally I'd save some bucks and get an Izula to go with that Junglas, then work your way up from there. ;)

Appreciate you buying our knives and for being here.

To Irag8er regarding where I bought my Stuff. I found the Junglas on Ebay through a great dealer out of Texas, awesome price including sheath. Ended up on Amazon for the Sawvivor.

Get a 4 and and Izula or Izula II. That should cover all the "need" elements. Then you can factor in the "want" part.

I agree with the Izula II and then a 4.

You can get a 3 later (a bit smaller than 4, bigger than Izula) serrated maybe if you like them.......I do.

The man himself suggested an Izula and he knows best what pairs well, but ultimately it depends on what you want to do and what you like.

Or just get a machete and be done with it all :)

I say track down a HEST.

Pairing knives is like pairing wine or beer with food.

i went the opposite direction as you. started with an izula and 3mil, then a 5, then another izula in a different color, next will probably be a junglas. this is all over the span of 2 weeks.

I started with an izula2 then a 5, for me they are perfect. Really though, I could live with just the 5 if I had to. It has picked up doing almost all the chores over the izula, only thing is when I go to town the izula is what I carry.
