First ESEE

Hey, I posted here a while back asking about the Junglas. Despite the many jokes about the Junglas' uselessness and about its sole purpose being looking cool and killing zombies, this knife kept calling to me. So today I finally got mine from a fellow member, and I have to say it's really a work of art! I went to a knife shop to try out a few contenders, but ended up buying this one blind (they didn't stock ESEE). I'm really glad I did, because the quality of this piece is head and shoulders over everything I tried. I'll have to consider more fixed blades and hang around this subforum more often...

Congrats buddy, I love my junglas, though I would agree that it's only real use is being kewl. You could really use a 4 and izula, maybe izula ii... and 6.... and lite....... and 3

glad you like it.. sounds like a score to me..

I have a virtual Junglas I picked up shortly after they broke from ontario and designed it, so far its been awesome and I haven't had to sharpen or care for it at all, feels light as a feather on the belt..

most of the time I don't even know its there

I have one coming my way also. I wouldn't consider it useless! It does have the COOL factor. I have an Ontario RTAK II, and it's my go to blade for batonning, and wood work. The Junglas will fill this same roll for me. YMMV!

Sharpened it up today and tried the water bottle chopping trick on it, this blade is a beast!

I have my first ESEE on the way. I'm pretty stoked about it after reading all the good things that people have to say about them. If I like it as much as I think I'm gonna like it, I plan on giving it a big family. It's a 3 and without even holding it I'm already wanting a Junglas, 6, Izula II and a HEST. Oh yeah, just like everybody else, i'm gonna want a HEST folder too.
